Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When is the Cooler’N Hell Gravel Ride?
A: The 2nd annual ride takes place on October 24, 2026. Cooler weather means better riding conditions — and a chance to test your grit without melting.
Q: Where does the race start?
A: All routes begin and end in Wichita Falls, Texas at Delta Hotels by Marriott Wichita Falls Convention Center. Exact staging area and parking info will be provided closer to race day.
Q: What distances are offered?
A: We’ve got three routes to match your ambition:
100 miles – for the seasoned gravel crusher
50 miles – a solid challenge with some bite
27 miles – a chill ride that still kicks up some dust
Q: Is this a timed race or a fun ride?
A: It’s both. Riders can race the clock or ride for the experience. Timing chips are provided, but your ride, your pace.
Q: Are there cash payouts for the top finishers?
A: Yes! For the 100-mile and 50-mile races, there will be a total purse of $10,000. View the full payout schedule here. The 100-mile will payout to the top 5 finishers (men’s, women’s, masters men’s, masters women’s), and the 50-mile will payout to the top 3 finishers (men’s, women’s, masters men’s, masters women’s). The 27-mile does not have a cash payout.
Q: What age is considered “Masters?”
A: Glad you asked! We define this category as anyone 40 years or older. As a 100mi or 50mi participant, you will have the option to register as Master’s 40+ division or Open division (all ages).

A: Typically, cooler and more comfortable than August! Expect highs in the 60s–70s°F. Still, it’s Texas — come prepared for sudden changes.
